Investing — it’s about making your money make money for you

  1. Investing involves purchasing assets with the aim they’ll either appreciate (aka grow) in value or generate income.
  2. Some people invest to achieve specific near-term financial goals, like funding a trip, a car down payment, or a wedding, while others invest for bigger, long-term goals, like paying for college, buying a house, or saving for retirement.
